The Morgan Group, Ltd.
"Explore, Discover, Develop, and Implement"
Established in 1991, The Morgan Group has earned the confidence of our clients.
We are flexible, practical, responsive, and offer a refreshing alternative
to large consulting firms.
Many companies have embarked on Business Process Improvement (BPI) programs only to fail to achieve business benefits.
These companies generally believed that just implementing technology was the solution to their problems.
Our approach to BPI projects is different.
Consulting Approaches and Methodologies
The Morgan Group utilizes a variety of consulting approaches and metholodologies to deliver the various services,
each chosen to be effective for a particular situation.
Consulting Approaches
Many consultants use only an Expert approach for BPI projects/programs.
While this is effective for conveying specific knowledge, we found it does not foster the team building, consensus, or
ownership required to make BPI projects successful.
The Morgan Group's GUIDED DISCOVERYSM approach is an unique blend of the Expert and Advisory
consulting approaches. GUIDED DISCOVERYSM provides the appropriate amount of subtle expert
input and direction. The Advisory approach fosters a coach/mentor relationship between
the consultant and the client.
GUIDED DISCOVERYSM greatly reduces the feelings of outside imposition, while still imparting critical knowledge.
Methodologies
Many consultants use traditional consulting methologies. Some of these are not effective for BPI projects. They reply on ineffective
techniques - individual interviews, consultant's interpretation of the findings, and their own analysis and design techniques.
This results in thick reports that no one reads and operating people do not accept.
No one person fully understands how the process really works end-to-end. The Morgan Group consultants employ methodologies that increase
the active involvement of process operation and support people, including workshops and
wall charting techniques. Our workshops are designed to promote interaction among participants.
Our clients are actively involved in each phase of the project and participate in every step along the way.
Client teams do project work and learn. We share our experience and provide value by guiding, training
and assisting them throughout the project life cycle.
This creates synergy and encourages team building. It ensures that you capture how the process really works (AS-IS) or
should work (TO-BE). The interaction helps gain
concensus and promotes ownership of business problems and solutions.
Belief
The real challenge of business is how well it responds and adapts to
constant change. We believe that successful implementation of change
requires the integration of the core business processes with creative
and empowered people who are supported by senior management and provided
with the appropriate technological tools.
Philosophy
We provide professional consulting services based on practical experience,
using proven processes and methodologies, tailored to meet our
clients´ specific situations and business needs. As independent
consultants, we develop solutions based on unique business needs, not
product sales or prepackaged programs.
Style
The Morgan Group (TMG) follows a consulting approach called GUIDED DISCOVERYSM
that encourages and supports client participation and
contributions. We share knowledge and practical experiences that lead
to implementable business solutions in a timely manner. We use tools
that promote collaboration and creativity. We use process facilitation
skills and proven methodologies to guide clients in a positive direction
so they discover and own solutions.
As Guides, we will:
- Provide processes, methodologies, and tools
- Educate your team on Best Practices
- Direct you away from problems
- Help you reach your target (TO-BE) state
- Lead you to implementation
- Leave you energized to move to the next step
Objective
The GUIDED DISCOVERYSM
approach promotes client commitment to and ownership of the solution.
It enables the client to become successful and self-sufficient.
